Welcome to my inner world!
Thanks to Carole and Giesele! They help people to discover themselves. I never thought that I could do serious painting! Carole in the 'Parents-Children gathering' in Gstadd, Switzerland showed us that anybody could paint!

Indeed, she showed us that colors spread on a wet paper and paint themselves! We need to touch, sit and watch! It was magic!
Here are my recent attempts!
Biomagnetism
A visiting Yogi to Germany told us once that there exist biomagnetism in our body which can be felt within the gap of our hands. Yes, I do feel it, so I presume, and the intensity varies each time from zero field to a dense, condensed field!
The flower
This was not planned this way. A drop of red color fell on the paper and to make it uniform I spotted the paper and a flower emerged on its own! Interesting!

Nammalvar, a celebrated saint poet from Tamil country perceived the primordial ONE in his Opossum Magnum called "Tiruvaimozhi" (words uttered from the holy) as follows. The ONE persisted always with the following elements. 1. the one to create all the visible and the invisible (Brahma), 2. the one to modify, change and apparently destroy (Siva), 3. the one to enrich the creation (Lakshmi or Sakthi). First came the creator Brahma from His umbilical cord as seated on a lotus. HE shared his body with Siva and Lakshmi. Thus, the trinity seen as Brahma (creator), Vishnu (the protector) and Siva (the destroyer) are essentially the undifferentiated on differentiation. The Sakthi is part of Him as well.
Lotus is an important symbol in Indian mythology. Brahma, Saraswati and Lakshmi are seated on lotus.
The other colors of India
Indian flag has three color bands and a wheel or Chakra. The colors saffran, white and green represent reverence for the higher principle (God),peace and prosperity. The wheel represents all that is recyclable. India in reality is more than three colors. To see the true colors of India one should visit!
The expanse
bahu yojana visthernam
bahu yojana mayatham
bahu yojana hasthahim
bahu yojana nasitham
Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Sakastranama Stotram (author unknown, composed probably in middle ages)
HE expands limitlessly; HE expands distances magically; HIS hands could spread several million light years; his nose could spread another million light years! That is HIS expanse!
The stellar objects identified in this picture are (from left): The Andromeda Galaxy (top), Blackeye galaxy in Coma Berenices (middle), Spiral Galaxy (in Virgo) (bottom); (center) spiral galaxy in Pisces; (right) globular cluster in Hercules (top), globular cluster in Ophiuchus (center), Planetary Nebula in Ursa Major (bottom) Source:SEDS Messier Database
People familiar with Indian mythology and Iconography may identify easily the Chakra and Counch associated with Maha Vishnu in this painting.
The Seabed
I visited the school kids section to find some bright water colors. It was a delight to see the bright colors spread through the paper. The paper was bought in Gstaad, Switzerland. The water and colors are from Korea. and who draws? :-)
Lotus
It is not unusual to see the heavens in the image of earth. Several galaxies are named after earthly objects like 'crab nebulae' etc. In fact the ancient greeks mapped the sky with earthly & imaginary objects. The Hindus consider Mahavishnu or Sriman Narayanan spans the entire universe and from his navel comes a lotus like object in which reside Brahma the creator-in-charge.
The one who sleeps a sleepless awareness
paripUrana baghavantham...
sriman nArAyana...
purushOthama...
sri ranganatha mama natha
namOstutae!
Sri Ramanuja Acarya (10-11 A.D) in Sri Ranganathagadyam
I pray to the one who resides in everything, who is perfect, who is in a state of perpetual yogic awareness (sleepless sleep)!
(conventionally Sri Ranganatha is depicted as the dark one who sleeps on a serpent in the ocean of milk)
The dark one
Krishna is often depicted as the 'dark one' like the clouds. If he stays in the dark nobody notices him, but for his red eyes! The childish pranks of Krishna is well naratted in Bhagavatham, Tiruvaimozi and Periyazvar Tirumozi
Journey
Etheral! can we say so? Could that be a journey of a soul?
Peach
Peach? I know, you will ask me! What remains after eating the flesh? Is it not peach as well :-)?
Krishna Jenmashtami
Original Krishna, the God incarnate was born on the star Ashtami. This is celebrated by most Hindus all over the world. On that day, small steps of Krishna-the child was painted from door step to Pooja room. Children are treated special on that day with Indian sweets. Krishna, in Baghavat Gita says that he exists as Akshatra or alphabet. Bible says 'first came the word!'. Tamil 'a' and Korean 'a' are written (they look similar..that's another story!)
Secret tips! Carole told us 'a painting never ends!' She asked us to paint & repaint without the fear of 'loosing something'. So this one was painted twice, washed several times!
Gods painting! an inspiration
After I started painting one day, I walked out to the beach. I was dumb founded by the panaromic sketch of divine painter. I felt as if God planned to tease me with his majestic painting that scans from earth to heaven, with superb color combination and special effects that no man can match. I enjoyed that walk with a sense of 'wow' and 'bow'. Later I thought I should capture that moment from my memory. The result is this picture which is a very poor imitation what I witnessed!
Summer in Korea
Summer in Korea means color Green. The lush rice paddy, the greener than green woods, the white herone in the fields, the occational summer stroms...that is summer in Korea!
Meeting point!
I allowed the colors to travel on their own, spread on their own with minimum interference. The result is this beautiful drawing!
Sun
Just a spot. That spreads. Then help to spread. Few strokes as clouds. Here we are!
Sri Padam
I am listening to Tiruvaimozhi commentary by Sri Krishna Premi maharaj. Tiruvaimozhi composed by Chatagopan alias Nammalvar was 1000 in number in Andathi form. Supposed to be composed in 9th centuary AD. The Guruparambara place this work much earlier. Indeed, the Bakthi movement in India started after this collosal work of immense wisdom, love and longing. After this work Nammalvar was considered the very feet of Lord Krishna.
Chatari
Another rendering of the same theme. The custom of 'catari' in Vaishnava temple means Krishna padam which is nothing but Tiruvaimozhi & Nammalvar!
